Abony Family Tennis Center Customer Service Representative
Position Overview:
As the Tennis Center Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibility is to provide
exceptional customer service and support to all players and guests at the tennis center. You will
serve as the main point of contact for inquiries, registrations, and other customer-related
activities. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for all visitors and maintaining a
high level of customer satisfaction. Our center is community-based and inclusive with a focus on
family and youth.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and Welcome Visitors:
Welcome all visitors as they arrive at the tennis center, providing a warm and friendly
atmosphere. Answer questions and direct individuals to the appropriate court to play on
for lessons and programs.
Handle Inquiries:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person. Provide accurate
information regarding tennis programs, court reservations, events, and other related
services. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Registration and Booking Assistance:
Assist customers with program registration, court bookings, and player card sign-ups or
renewals. Input customer information accurately into the system and process payments
securely. Provide guidance on available programs, pricing, and schedules.
Coordinate Court Reservations:
Manage the online scheduling and allocation of tennis courts for players and guests.
Sales and Upselling:
Promote additional services, such as private lessons, clinics, equipment rentals, and pro
shop merchandise, to customers. Upsell and cross-sell relevant products and services to
maximize revenue generation.
Facility Maintenance and Safety:
Monitor the tennis center’s washroom cleanliness and overall appearance. Report any
maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Administrative Tasks:
Perform various administrative duties, including maintaining customer records, preparing
reports, and managing inventory for the pro shop. Assist with marketing and promotional
activities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
● High school diploma or equivalent; further education or relevant certifications are a plus.
● Previous customer service experience, preferably in a sports or recreational facility
setting.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with
diverse individuals.● Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
● Proficiency in computer systems and software, including basic knowledge of reservation
systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
● Knowledge of tennis rules, terminology, and court scheduling procedures is beneficial.
● Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently.
● Positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for providing exceptional customer
service.

Given our focus on youth, a condition of employment will be subject to a criminal background
check. Our facility is licensed to serve alcohol; therefore applicants must be 19 years of age or
older.
The start date for this parttime position is as soon as possible. Successful applicant must be
available to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends, and occasional other shift times.
Bilingualism is an asset, as well as tennis knowledge and experience.
